Education - As a teacher for 31 years in the Hazelwood School District, Paula knows firsthand the importance of quality public education. Paula believes that we must invest heavily in primary and secondary education, so that Missouri children are set up for success early in life. At the postsecondary level, Paula believes that we need to bring student loan interest rates down so that students don’t graduate with crippling debt.
LGBTQIA+ Rights - Paula supports the passage of the Missouri Non-Discrimination Act, or MONA, guaranteeing protection of LGBTQIA+ persons who can still be fired from their jobs, refused service, or denied housing because of who they are.
Reproductive Freedom - Here’s the deal in 2019, Governor Parson signed one of the most restrictive abortion bans that aimed to limit a woman’s access to reproductive healthcare. With the overturning of Roe v. Wade the future of women’s rights are on the line. Paula strongly believes that women should have the fundamental right to make decisions about their own bodies. Paula will continue fighting for reproductive freedom and access to reproductive healthcare for all.
