In her first term, Paula filed legislation to:
Change the way that public schools systems are accredited, moving away from national standardized testing to a true growth model that provides evidence of student learning
Create lactation rooms in public schools for all nursing mothers
Reduce long term suspension options from 180 days to 90 days in cases that do not involve the Safe Schools Act
Paula has also co-sponsored the following:
Missouri House Bill 2225, which establishes procedures relating to land use permits for historic landfills
Missouri House Bill 1679, which modifies the penalties for the offense of animal abuse
Missouri House Bill 1265, which prohibits texting and driving
